Interior Design Process

Initial Consultation - Any project begins with an initial consultation which helps us to ascertain your needs, and the styles and pallets you are hoping to work with.
We prefer if you are able to come into the showroom for the consultation as this enables us to have full access to our fabric and wallpaper libraries, catalogues and paint samples. It is helpful at this point if you are able to bring in any existing colours and textures that we will be working around i.e. carpet or paint samples, a cushion cover, or a photograph of a dominant painting that will feature in each room.
If you are not able to come to Truro, the consultation can be done my email or over the phone (usually a combination of the two). We are happy to work from photographs that can be sent via email, or links through dropbox, and we will send you samples of fabrics and wallpapers that we feel will work with your scheme.

Decision Making - Once we have a firm picture of what you are looking for, there are a number of options available to you to help you make those difficult decisions:
  1. Samples - We can order you samples of any of the fabrics, carpets or wallpapers. Small samples are free of charge, or we can order you larger, returnable samples for £2.50.
  2. Borrow the Books - You can borrow any of the books from our fabric, carpet and wallpaper libraries for a couple of days so that you can review them in your own lighting, and at different times of the day.
  3. Mood Boards - Mood boards are a great way of seeing exactly how your scheme will come together. We create mood boards designed entirely around your needs and pallets. They are priced at £80 per board or £50 per hour for digital boards.
  4. Design Visits - If you are based in Cornwall, and feel that you need a little more guidance or reassurance, then a design visit may well be the option for you. A designer will come to your home or project site, bringing with her samples of the products you are considering. She will spend time with you in the space, talking through the different options and making her recommendations. She can also take measurements while she is there in order to put together a quote for you. Many people choose to have a mood board created after their design visit to help them visualise the scheme that they have discussed. Design Visits are charged at £50 per hour.

Measuring - We are very happy to work from your own measurements if you are confident in them, or we can advise you how to measure. We also have a professional fitter who can measure for you. Measuring is charged at £35 in Cornwall.

Quotation - Once you have decided what you would like, and we have the measurements for the work, we will be able to offer you your quotation. Quotations are totally obligation free, and we are more than happy to make any amendments or discuss any points at this stage. We do offer like-for-like price matching on fabrics and wallpapers, and can confidently say that there is no company in the UK that will produce goods to the standards we make to for a lower price.

Confirmation - When you are happy with all of the details of your quote, you can confirm your order. A 50% deposit is required at this point, with the balance payable upon completion.

Fitting - Should you wish to fit the goods yourself, they can be made available for you to collect from the showroom, or we can have them couriered to you at any serviced destination in the world. A full fitting service is also available. Fitting is charged at £50 per hour with a capped day rate of £250.
